THE STAIN’s real name is Zoltán Bán born in Budapest, Hungary in 1983. He affected by music from childhood. Listening from classical music to the pioneers of electronic scene. As he getting older he turned to the electronic side. At the age of 13 got his first house mix and enchanted by the energy of the uprising break music.

From that time he listened several style of music periodically, passed trought the early drum and bass era  after that nu school and progressive breaks, house, inspired by techno from minimalism to the hardest beats. From the age of 16 tried to make some loops with a drummachine and getting know all of the learning for music making step-by-step. At te beginning music making was a hobby and it became his life.

After a while he turned back to progressive house best fits his style then. His first debut was wining a remix contest to the UK based label Neuroscience Recordings. Following comes 2 deep dark Eps at Headrush Music little brother of the well known label Toes In The Sand Recordings. Made contact with Jetlag digital who became a friend of him. Doing some Eps together and made some top charted remixes there. One of his Ep taken part of the promo album of the label on WMC in 2009. After working with several labels (Soundtribe Rekordings, Lups Records or Deepsesisons Recordings) he find his place at his best friends and proudly became a Mistiquemusic artist. Label runs by the well known progressive house producers Michael & Levan & Stiven Rivic. This label reflects what quality progressive house is trought his eyes. After releasing some originals and remixes here nowadays, he is focusing on his deep house productions, spiced with some tech movement in them, releasing by the sublabel of Mistiquemusic, Mistique Digital. He is working periodically with contemporary dominant artist of house music in Hungary and from the whole world alike.

The Stain was a Mistique Music exclusive artist since 2009 to 2011. Future plans are to feed the underground house scene, produce more everlasting music and work with more outsanding persons of the house scene such in the studio or behind dj decks.
